AKIJI YOSHIMURA

Akiji was from Colusa, California, and volunteered for the Military Intelligence Service and the Marauders. Akiji was one of the most articulate of the volunteers. He regarded service in the U.S. Army as "a right and duty" and, like the others in the group, he was determined "to serve our country not just as well but better than any other American." After the Marauders Akiji was transferred to China to the Sino Translation and Interrogation Center (SINTIC).
