Henry was one of the men that volunteered
to join the Military Intelligence Service Language School from one of the West Coast
Internment Centers. Henry got his nickname Horizontal Hank because he had been
pinned down so many times by Japanese machine-gun fire while directing his
platoon's own machine-gun fire. After the Marauders were disbanded Henry served
for a while with the Office of War Information (OWI), then was returned to the U.S.
for medical care. In 1997 Staff Sergeant Henry Gosho was inducted into the U.S.
Ranger Hall Of Fame.
